About the project

A small team that takes habits seriously, not solemnly.

Zarvaxenjlox began as a shared notebook between two friends in Ottawa who kept forgetting to refill the water pitcher. It grew into a quiet publishing project for everyone who wants gentler routines around drinking water.

Why we write what we write

We are writers, designers, and weekend cyclists. None of us are clinicians. What we share is years of personal experimentation with daily routines, plus careful reading of public health guidance from reputable Canadian and international agencies.

Every guide is drafted by one person, edited by another, and reviewed against a public checklist that you can request by email. If we get something wrong, we publish a correction note at the top of the article.

Our editorial principles

Three commitments we keep

Honest sourcing

Public health pages, peer-reviewed nutrition reviews, and our own pilot tests — cited where it matters.

Respect for readers

No fear-based copy, no countdown timers, no exaggerated promises. Just useful sentences.

Living guides

Articles are revisited each quarter, with the date and reasoning logged at the bottom of every page.
